Cara
Delvigne opened the show ! It was her premiere in London for the A/W shows and
there was a real buzz as the crowd waited to see her and the new Issa
collection. Jourdan Dunn also walked for Issa looking beautiful in the
Native Navjo Indian inspired collection.
The
collection was inspired by the Valley and the sandy hills of the Navajo Indian
homeland, the collection was a strong mix of striking pattern and fabrics and
textures.
Woven
feather Jacquards, circle skirt dresses and pleat front trousers formed a
striking collection of glamorous shapes and textures.
•
Key colour: Rustic warm red and
soft grey and browns
•
Key items: Long flowing
chiffon and silk dresses
•
Key details: Strong geometric and
Skelton prints, feather details
All
the models wore striking fedoras with elongated feathers. Unfortunately one
model lost her hat but managed to pick it up and carry on.
While
i was waiting for the show to start i saw a crowd of photographers circling
someone, turned out it was designer Zandra Rhodes with her trade mark pink
hair. After her the rest of the celebrity front row quickly followed, Jodie
Kidd, Tamara
Beckworth, Mollie and Rochelle from the Saturdays, Laura Whitmore and Amber
Atherton.
